TPE materials, also known as thermoplastic elastomers, are polymeric materials that combine plastic and rubber properties, display high elasticity of rubber at room temperature and can be plasticized and molded at high temperatures (no vulcanization required). Therefore, the thermoplastic elastomer has the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber and the processing properties of thermoplastic plastics. It is a new type of polymer material between rubber and resin, commonly known as the third generation rubber.
